Touch Pad not working I2c HID device
My systems touchpad has completely stopped working and this has been going on for a while now,i have resorted to using an external mouse.
I have tried using windows update
I have tried using CMD
i have tried accessing through safe mode
I have tried just about everything but it does not seem to help
My system is an inspirion 15 3573
No Events found!

I have an ASUS where the touchpad does not work. Error with I2C HID device. I tried everything. I finally gave up and bought a wireless mouse.
The touchpad has a small flexible cable that attaches it to the motherboard. You can check to see if it came loose.

i have seen that post and tried everything on that post
could it be a hardware issue?
