Uninstalling Dell Touchpad application solves touchpad Issues Inspiron 15 3567

I am experiencing a few issues with my touchpad that I hope I can get some assistance with.

The initial issue was that the tp stopped working completely. I had to switch to a USB mouse or use the touchscreen

Then I noticed that the touchpad worked fine when in the BIOS. The cursor moved and the left/right buttons worked as expected. so I knew at this point the touchpad is not defective.

I diligently followed a few of the self help guides , Rebooting, deleting and updating drivers, Updating the touchpad application (all drivers and applications from DELL Support for my service tag) but nothing worked.

Out of frustration, I uninstalled the Dell Touchpad application completely using the CC Cleaner (priform) uninstall tools and immediately my touch pad worked again. No reboot required.

This has become the standard method for restoring the touchpad.

Each time the TP stops working, all I have to do is uninstall the app to get it going again. This works flawlessly.

I am now at the point where I am getting a little tired of having to delete the application each time the DELL utilities restores the program. I like the fact that DELL is making an effort to keep my laptop updated with drivers and applications but the symptoms suggest there is another deeper issue with this laptops configuration. Perhaps an entry in the registry or a configuration file setting that needs to be made.

Looking for suggestions,
