I recommend you not to update it right now, as it might ruin your system. It causes problems with headphone jack, the wireless connectivity, BOSD, and many more.
And hanging, that can be due to it's size. even mine used to hang at 50%, but a reboot fixed it.
I think I shouldn't have updated it to version 2004, as it has ruined my laptop
