Upgrading processor of n5050
Hi everone
I have a dell laptop inspiron n5050 which come with intel core i3
What i need is changing the processor and replacing it with intel core i5
Is that possible? If yes, what type should i buy of i5
Any one can help ....

Note that the post is from 6 yrs ago and probably does not apply anymore. Your model is considered obsolete now and cannot run windows 10. Put the money towards a new computer.

Money should goes to a new one, at the first i tried to upgrad to windows 10 but it dont accept but after flashing BIOS it accept and now im running in win 10 but ofcourse i updated the driver

Note to anyone reading this for info, as I have been: that machine does run Windows 10 and with an SSD drive it isn’t half bad either.

My Dell N5050 laptop has upgrades to appropriate (OEM Optional) I7 processor,16Gb of RAM, and an SSD. Running Win10 Pro fine, but not upgradeable to Win 11. You may need to run "Windows Update, Dell Update, and/or Intel Update" to get all things running right. My computer did it automatically, but YMMV.
