WiFi Connection

I am using a Dell Inspiron 7375 and am having trouble connecting to my internet. However, on all of my other devices, I am able to do so. At times, no Wi-Fi will show up and when it does and I try to connect, it says it can't connect to the network. I've tried troubleshooting and it shows 2 problems:

1) Windows cannot connect to "my wi-fi"

2) Problem with wireless adapter or access point.

The driver for the network adapter (Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Adapter) has been reinstalled and is up-to-date as well. If anyone is aware on how I can fix this issue, kindly do help, thank you.

Try to disable the network first, then enable.

I am having the same problem with the QCA9377 card. In an Inspriron 5570 that is 2.5 yrs old.

The wifi card just drops and there is no signal of any kind available (not my network or any other network)

I am highly suspect of the wireless card.

The card just seems to stop working totally for the wifi (not bluetooth) because there it does not pickup anyone's wifi... (I usually see my neighbors signal when card is working). This happens intermittently, sometimes it gets so bad I have to shut my computer down for a few minutes and turn it back on, then I will get it working for a while, sometimes for several hours before it starts dropping.

I have: updated, rolled back drivers multiple times. Performed all diagnostics test from website, and worked with Dell Tech Support.... Per technical support completed a fresh reinstall of Windows 10 this worked for a short time but then I started having. I have sent this laptop to Dell (I paid for the 1 yr extended warranty). This too was a waste of time because they put the computer on their standard diagnostics test... and guess what -- they could not get it to fail! Well no wonder / I wrote specifically on the form and the text was documented extensively in the troubleshooting.... I am very disappointed in paying for the extended warranty. I have gotten phone support and they tell me it is a software problem... because they do not want to tackle this problem.

I have been working on sophisticated medical equipment for 40 years... and hey this stuff happens, and you have to take further steps and start swapping parts an elimination process.  In this case there are only 2 parts / 1.) wifi card (about $10) / 2.) the motherboard (about $30) but I am wondering if the Dell support can replace parts.... I dunno

This has now been going on for about 4/5 months.

BTW - my wifi card dropped out 2x while I was typing this.. gladly there is copy and paste so I do not loose my text.

If there is someone who can help I would greatly appreciate it....

I have the same issue and really need a solution. This has been going on for about 10 months.

Thanks,

where is the actual solution to the problem?

This seems to be a common problem.  I am also experiencing the same problem.  I have paid for the extended warranty also.  I have spent OVER 40 hours online and on the phone with Dell trying to resolve this issue to no avail.  The motherboard and the network card has been replaced.  My machine is also about 2 years old.  VERY DISAPPOINTED in this machine/Dell.  This is the 3rd Dell I've purchased but will probably be purchasing another one.  There seems to be no solution to this problem.  I was finally offered a refurbished laptop, but given what I've been reading, the same issue is highly likely.

Same problem. Are you using Eero or another mesh WiFi system? Could it be the network Wi-Fi card doesn’t work with mesh systems?

same problem:

I always solve that using 3 ways:

1- press windows + X --> device manager --> disable wait a bit then enable the device.(the best way)

2- uninstall the device then restart the windows.(windows 10 will automatically update it).

3- just restart once (wait a bit) if it did not work restart it twice.(always working)

I more often use the 3rd option, since it is guaranteed to work(for my situation at least)*

if that did not help you,  you most likely need to replace the card and buy a new one(either the network card or the motherboard(hope note!) ).
