Windows Installer USB cannot detect SSD installed in computer
Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1
I tried to re-install Windows after my Linux install nuked my whole SSD, deleting the recovery partitions from Dell along with it. I tried booting the Windows installer from my USB but it wont detect the SSD installed inside the computer. I tried to look for a setting to change my SSD config to AHCI but theres no setting for it inside my bios, I also tried to use the Dell recovery OS tool but for some reason it can't detect my wifi card even though it needed wifi to install the tools itself. Also, I can install Linux Fedora fine onto the SSD on my pc, only Windows does not want to work. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Download this Intel RST driver and extract it onto a USB drive. At the installation screen which has option to load driver, browse to the extracted Intel RST driver for installation. Your SSD should be visible for selection.
