Windows logo not showing at startup
So I understand there is something with uefi and windows logo not showing up at startup. Is this correct? I have windows 10 and at startup dell logo shows up and the turning dots and takes like a whole 2 minutes then black screen then login screen.
I installed this windows 10 through usb btw.
But I remember when I first received my laptop and windows 10 came with it it used to show windows logo at startup then I made the mistake of checking no gui boot in msconfig and since then I haven't been able to restore it even after unchecking no gui boot and disabling fast boot.
Also disabling uefi doesn't make the windows logo appear either.
So can it be restored so that windows logo shows up at startup?
btw my system is dell inspiron 3593 i7 model and I think isn't the legacy bios model.

First you need to disable secure boot in bios then download hackbgrt.
Before launching setup.exe change the image splash.bmp and replace it with your image. Note that your image has to be bmp format. Then launch it and do all the steps it tells you to do. If my reply solved your issue, hit the accept as solution button.

Secure boot has always been disabled. So I can't make windows logo appear(without the hacking etc)? Why then show it at first and then disappear for good once I click no gui boot.

Follow the directions on this page for Windows 8, it is the same procedure for Windows 10.
