chmod verbose output?
Hi all,
We have a large old DIR, with permissions that are pretty outdated/broken, essentially taking part in a data migration so this location needs to be set to read only, its not possible with share level permissions, due to the amount of DIRs located within one share. the simple option I have found is to insert a fresh group into the DIR tree with deny_write and then when ready, add users to the AD group.
like so:
chmod -R +a group "DOMAIN\\AD_GROUP_DENY" deny dir_gen_write subfolder5
However, I am expecting this command to take a very long time to run (hours), testing works fine. however I want this to be verbose, and perhaps leave this running in a screen session
no matter what I cannot get "-v" flag to work with the above command - is this a known thing with chmod on onefs?

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
What version of OneFS are you using?

was upgraded recently, 9.5.1.0
and we also still see " Query to isi_stats_d failed " which I thought that bug was meant to be resolved in this version?

For “Query to isi_stats_d failed” You should call phone support. This might help with verbose mode on chmod https://dell.to/4dK9Z5P
