Error 0x8007003B
When copying files from our VDI Desktops on Windows 10, or windows 2012 R2 server to shares on our Isilon we are experiencing the following error:
Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.
If you click the Skip button, it proceeds to copy the file, but any attempts to manipulate the file (from other computer) results in the file acting as if it were corrupt.
We have upgraded to 8.0.0.2 on our cluster as there were a few patch notes that made this sound like it would be fixed, but we are still seeing this issue.
Thought I would see if others in the community are experiencing this issue.
Our VDI team found that if they disabled SMB2 and SMB3 it does fix the issue:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2696547
That error code has also been found to have issues with Windows search service, however the isilon does not utilize windows search, so that seems like a rabbit hole.
Any thoughts?

Tried with personal and corporate EMC account and I guess I am not part of the cool kids club with access to that KB.

The audience type for this article is Level 50 meaning it is restricted to internal viewing only (i.e. Isilon Support/Engineering). In order for customers to view articles, the article has to be Level 30.
Essentially it states what has already been said in the main thread; apply patch 178762.

It's a tricky error, but, luckily, it can be easily fixed. Here's what you can try:
Run the SFC (System File Checker) tool To run it, type the following command in the command prompt and wait for the process to complete:
sfc /scannow
Disable the anti−virus software temporarily
Run the Check Disk Utility (CHDSK) Old but gold. Go to (My) Computer / This PC, right click on a Local Disk and then on Properties. Open the Tools tab and select Check, in the Error checking section and follow the instructions.
