How to find Version information for the different Modules

Hey,

What commands do I run to find the Version information for the following modules?

Module  Type
HDFS
InsightIQ
Isilon for vCenter
SmartConnect Advanced
SmartLock
SmartPools
SmartQuotas
SnapshotIQ
SyncIQ
iSCSI

Thank you,

Hi Chjatwork,

Most of these "modules" are part of OneFS and would more accurately be tied to major versions of OneFS.

SyncIQ for example, has additional features in OneFS 7.1.1.0 that are not present in previous versions.  Internally, it does have a specific version, but I can't think of an easy way to grab this and it really wouldn't tell you anything.  The OneFS versions are more relevant as SyncIQ is upward compatible (i.e. SyncIQ on OneFS 6.0 can sync up to a OneFS 7.1 install, but not the other way).

Instead it would probably be more useful to you to tie them to the major OneFS releases: 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.1, and 7.1.1.

InsightIQ is provided as a standalone VM or RPM; the version is part of the appropriate install file.

HDFS is a protocol, and different versions of OneFS support different versions of Hadoop; check the release notes for the latest supported distributions.

Cheers,
Matt

Mattashton,

Yeah I understand your stand point, but I still see information floating out there in reference to different versions for the modules... granted they maybe linked to the OS version of OneFS, but I just wanted to find out is there a command that will allow me to see that version level of each module?  If not would you know what the version for each module based on my telling you that I am running OneFS version 7.0.1.4 and 7.0.2.1?

Thank you,

Which explicit "module version" did you run across, that is not mentioned in these docs?:
