insightiq data filters on Data usage reports

So, if I am in a data usage report, there is a Create/Manage Data filters, but anything I try and filter by, doesn't actually filter anything? What am I missing?

Hi lumasys,

I think the filters are meant to apply to the Data Property reports, but not the Data Usage reports. You are not the first to mention that it is confusing to have the option to manage filters under both report types. In the very basic set up that I have to test with, I was able to confirm that the graphs change under Data Properties, but have no effect under Data Usage.

I too can confirm sjones5's findings.  I'll file a bug.

EDIT: I take that back.  Just when I was filing the bug and detailing specific repro steps, I'm able to get this data filter to do something.

Using IIQ version 4.0.1, in Data Usage reports, I added a filter for "file extension: .tar", applied it, and see the top 1000 files listing change to reflect just the *.tar files.

Lumasys, which filter are you trying to apply?

Rob, I am trying to pull a report that can show me a breakdown of my /a/b/c directory is in Nodepool-1 and what percentage is in Nodepool-2. Can that be done using insightIQ?

I created a filter by node pool and directory but nothing is showing up.

Thanks

-Dan
