Barbara
for general feedback on Isilon documentation you might refer to the recent Ask the Expert Event
Ask the Experts: EMC Isilon technical content and documentation
One point (it was actually me who brought it up) was how to improve
the insight into released fixes, know issues and available patches
for Isilon OneFS code families.
Being able to query and cross-reference all information in a somewhat
automated way will be highly beneficial for choosing the exact codes
to install under various requirements for features, stability etc.
This is not so much about the regular manuals,
but mainly affects release notes and patch lists.
I had suggested to also publish these items in a genuine tabular form
(Excel) rather than as layouted text-tables (PDF).
While Excel would be a straightforward choice, some carefully
crafted, easily parseable HTML docs could also do.
Is it something you might have on your radar?
Thank you
