How to install Isilon on personal computer?

Hi,

I have extracted the 7.2 Isilon simulator package. But there is not 'clone1.vmx' file inside the Clone1 directory. I have VMware Workstation and Vsphere ISO file on my laptop. Could you please tell me how may I find the '.vmx' files to begin the installation?

Turn on your file extensions.  The .vmx file is there, your Windows Explorer doesn't show the .vmx extension.

It is the little 2K file.  Look at the 'type' field.  Widen out the column.  You will see it.

Inside the 7.2 download, the file is actually named b.7.2.0.16r.vga.clone1.vmx

This is in the directory tree b.7.2.0.16r.vga/clone1/

If you don't see that file, you may have a bad download.  Try again?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

Yeah I see the path, but not the .VMX file inside Clone1.

I tried downloading several times, but there’s no VMX file inside. Same is the case with 7.1

Attached is the screenshot for your reference
