What is best solution to set quotas/limits for read access bandwidth per second/minute etc

I have found isilon quotas solution that limit disk space per user.

What is suggested solution to limit some individual users to meaningful disk consumption. Otherwise some users are over consume bandwidth and causing the other users to slow down.

For example if isilon allows to read 10GB per second, If one person run enough processes to use 9GB per second, then the rest would be certainly starved. This person will run processes from multiple linux host or condor.

One would limit per user consumption to let say 5GB then the other will be just partially impacted.

Hi vladss,

As far as I recall, there is not built in way to create the quotas you have described on the Isilon side. I did come across a more in depth overview of the cluster networking concepts that may be helpful though
