8 beeps and white screen during start up
I've just dropped my laptop (dell inspirion n5110) while it was on (about a feet) and now it's beeping. I also noticed that the bottom left of the screen disattached, but I was able to put it back in. I understand that 8 beeps mean LCD failure. I've tried to do the test run by pressing "D" but nothing shows up, only a white screen. Does anyone have any possible solutions? Any would be helpful. Thanks!

Welcome to the Dell Community.
Eight beeps means a display failure.
Try checking with an external monitor
With the notebook powered off, hold down the "D" key and power the notebook on. This will initiate A grey screen, then Red, then Blue, then Green then White, to allow you to inspect the entire LCD for color purity on each screen. If you get solid colors on the screen, then you know the LCD is good.
If the computer has active warranty, Kindly private message the service tag of the computer.

Thanks for your response!
I've tried pressing down "D" but I still get a white screen and nothing else.
My warranty has also expired long ago...
How would I go about connecting it to an external monitor?

The first thing to do is remove the battery, unplug the system and hold the power button for 30 sec. Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the display cable (one plugs into the mainboard under the keyboard and the other at the back of the screen.
