Hi CurteisXPS,

Dell has tested XPS M1530 only with Windows Vista and drivers for same are available on support website. You may install the drivers in compatibilty mode (for windows Vista) and see if it works. To know more about compatibilty mode, you can refer to link: http://bit.ly/WcIF2t

You may download drivers from links below:

  1. Intel Mobile Chipset: http://dell.to/14vD5Ml
  2. Ricoh R5C833: http://dell.to/YZUb3v
  3. UPEK TouchStrip Reader: http://dell.to/XrsKlg

Steps to download drivers:

  • Click on “Download File”.
  • Select “For Single File Download via Browser”.
  • Click on “Download Now”.
  • Save the driver on your desktop.
  • Once the driver is downloaded on the desktop, right click on it and select “Properties” -- > Compatibility Tab -- > Select Windows XP from the list.
  • Follow the prompts on screen and restart your computer.

Please share the findings.
