Battery Life Dell Xps 13 2015

Is it normal that when using Power saver mode, having lowest brightness or one notch higher and basically only using IE and OneNote to average at about 5 - 6 h batterylife? What is going on? I have reinstalled windows and do not have any bloatware. I can't even get half of the promised 11 hours! I have the qhd+ model.

Given the power draw of the QHD display and the GPU power needed to run it, that's actually pretty good.

Sure it is pretty good but that is not the point. It would be fine if Dell advertised a battery life up to, lets say 6 - 7h on the qhd+ model. The issue is that they LIE. I bought this computer thinking that they wanted to challenge Apples awesome batterylife with these computers and that would result in me having a computer that actually lasts me an entire work day. 5 - 6h is nowhere NEAR the 11h advertised.

If you're within your return period (21 days from shipment) and as unhappy as you seem to be with the system, return it and purchase a Macbook.

Did any get any solutions for the battery lifetime, as I am also strufggeling , appart from that I agree with all the comments that the 10-11 hours is far from real.

There is no solution but I did notice that windows 10 did improve my battery a bit.

Ok thanks for reply. Sorry to hear as the laptop itselves is great, could just be optimized to at least 2-4 hours more power
