BIOS re-flash problem

I Have a Dell Inspiron 3800 with the Phoenix A17 BIOS. I believe the BIOS may be corrupted. It is the latest BIOS for this machine I downloaded the BIOS from the Dell website but when I try to install it I get a message that says that I have the same or newer BIOS on my computer and Setup will now close. How can I overwrite or install the clean copy?

I'd suggest to ask this in the laptop or desktop area instead of the Poweredge server area. Usually a corrupt bios is very hard to recover, but if anyone knows of a way, it's more likely that posting in the correct section would get you visibility with the people that would know the answer.
