Try reseating the RAM. If that does nothing, can you get into BIOS setup (F2)? If you cannot, try removing the hard drive - if you can then get it, you've a dead hard drive. If not, check the power adapter - is the LED ON before you plug in the notebook end? If not, replace the adapter. If so, you likely have a dead mainboard.
