BSOD after deploying RIS image

Question

I am trying to build a RIS image (XP Pro) for my Latitude D420 and Latitude D620 laptops.   I installed Windows XP Pro, and all of the updates, and applications we require for the office. The laptop boots up, and everything is great...just the way I want it...   I ran RIPREP, and created the image to the RIS server with no problems.   I rebooted the exact same system, as I used to create the RIS Image, into PXE, and selected the image I just created. It appears to install everything just fine.   After the initial reboot, it immediately goes to BSOD...   Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can resolve this issue?   Has anyone seen this issue???   Any help would be greatly appreciated... I am having a similiar problem making an image for the D620 using Symantec Ghost 7.5. I got the laptop exactly the way we wanted it with XP Pro SP2, all updates, McAfee 8.0(I uninstalled Embassy Trust suite, known issue with D620), Office 2003 and all updates, other small apps, etc. I then ran Sysprep 2.0, dumped the image onto our image server, then re-imaged the same laptop to test it. It continuously reboots. When we were using Sysprep 1.0 it would BSoD.   If we do not use Sysprep the image works fine. I believe it has something to do with the HAL in Sysprep perhaps??? I don't know enough about it though, just read some stuff on Google aoout this same issue.   Is it ok to make images without running Sysprep? If I don't make the image with Sysprep, won't every laptop with the image have the same SID?   Please help!!! We just ordered roughly 150 of these laptops and want to start deploying them. Sounds like one of two things to me.  Have you recently flashed your bios?  Are you using the 'recommended' drivers for your system from support.dell?  If yes to all the above then look closely at your memory.  If you have multiple sticks try one at a time till you find the bad stick or if you still have your diag disk or partion run Boot to Diags, Other, and Yest Memory.  Use a number around 30.

I made the RIS image, then immediately tried applying the image back to the exact machine the image was made from. There were no hardware changes, or new memory introduced, etc.   The image creation went through with no problems. Booting into PXE, selecting the image, and copying of files went fine.   Upon reboot, you see the Windows XP logo, and then BSOD with the error message.   Thanks

Hey guys,   New to the forum but I was always looking up stuff on there.   This D620 BSOD seriously has me stumped. We have replaced both memory modules, new motherboard, BIOS updated to A08 Revision, and it still has problems.   Funny thing is.. all the other D620s that have recently arrived run the image just fine with no problem.   This keeps having problems, like little software problems while imaging. And then boom... BSOD.   Im seriously going to return this ' lemon ' it's caused nothing but problems but I cant understand it if the motherboard has been replaced and everything else how it keeps having these problems.
