can"t open (my computer,control panel, ) 1100 Inspiron

​ I can"t open most of my software and multi user screen don"t show up any more . running xp it started after windows done some updates it runs slower ​

I done a restore could"nt go back far enough. the defrag did"nt need it but still defrag the drive anyway still no luck.

Looks like you are going to have to do a repair.

Boot the laptop from the XP cd and run a repair, that will refresh the Windows files.

Do a system restore back before you updated it, defrag your hard drive.

I called dell they had me to run msconfig and stop the things running in the back ground it is working
