Charger Port
My laptop fell on the floor about a year ago while charging and the charger itself bent inside the port. It was charging for a while after moving it around to a specific direction. Now the laptop doesn't recognize the charger and it's hard to get it to make a connection. Will I be able to have this port replaced?

Hi MissBivens,
On some system the port is integrated on the motherboard, then the entire motherboard will require replacement. On some systems, there are daughter boards, which is a separate component, then only the daughter board can be replaced. Refer to the example of daughter board in the below mentioned picture:

Hi MissBivens,
Thank you for your quick response. The service tag is a 5-7 digit alpha numeric code located at the bottom panel of the laptop on a barcoded sticker.
Hope this helps.
