Charger stop working suddenly
Hi, this problem occurred a couple of days ago. Everything was working perfectly but suddenly screen brightness dropped and I saw that the laptop was working in battery mode. So I just reconnected the plug and it got back to charging mode. But now it stops charging every 3-5 minutes and I need to reconnect the plug every time.
My machine is Alienware 18, P19E001 (deployed April 2014), every driver is up to date (just checked it on Dell Support website)
What might be the solution for this? If it starts charging after I recconect the plug, then it is not the power adapter issue (or is it?).
Will be looking forward to any help with this issue and thank you in advance!

Thanks for posting.
Have you been able to test it with another charger? If it still has the same problem with another charger, it might be the motherboard needs to be replaced. If not, then the charger would need to be replaced. If you are still under warranty, please contact Tech Support and go through some troubleshooting over the phone.
