Color calibration - Inspiron 7559

Hi,

I received my new laptop yesterday (7559) and I love it, but I have an issue with color. It's more about green that look too dark.

For example, this green from the Xbox icon :

Look like that for me :

What's the best setting for contrast, saturation, gamma, etc. that I can edit in the Intel Control panel?

I just got this same laptop and the first thing I noticed was the yellow/green tint.

This can be fixed using Windows Color Management.

Type "Color Management" into the start menu to find it. Then go to the Advanced Tab, then look for the "Calibrate display" button. Go through the first 3 steps and use Intel's HD Graphics Control Panel to change your Gamma, Brightness + Contrast accordingly. In the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel I ended up with Brightness +5, Contrast 48, Hue 0, Saturation +16.

The part that asks you to balance the grayscale with the Red, Green and Blue sliders is where you can fix the yellow/green tint.

I left the Red and Blue sliders at maximum, but set the Green slider down 4 or 5 notches. This left the screen with a noticeably warmer, reddish tint. It may look odd at first, but once you finish the calibration try using your laptop for awhile and you should see that colours are much better balanced.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any further guidance.

The truth is that the new panels of the inspiron 7000 line are generally bad ...
The head of the section of screens of Dell must be an infiltrator of another brand or is very badly advised or is a child of 16 years making important decisions because not only the panels are bad but they also intervene in the controllers of the cards graphics to spoil them (in some cases screens of bluish tones or other anomalies).

The solution is very simple ,,, 3 things:

1.- Change the panel (it is very easy and there are several options in the marking)

2.- You have to change the driver from the intel page and Nvidea as appropriate for any version that is the same or compatible or sometimes earlier. (Not from the Dell page)

For example, the same version of the integrated Intel Card comes without intervention from your page and when you change it to Dell, all colors change so I recommend recalibrating.

3.- Sell it!

On the other hand I remind you that the subject of the screen is very personal ... But what I do agree is that Dell is losing prestige sending on their computers "insufficient panels" even for games because from time to time you do other things with the laptop and there I infiltrated you in the offices of DELL #!% $ # %%! &.

Dell don't make the displays. They buy them from display manufacturers. The screen in the Inspiron 7559 is made by BOE -- model NV15N41. It's perfectly capable considering the price point and covers an expected 60% of sRGB. Source: laptopmedia.com/.../dell-inspiron-7559-review-the-gaming-arena-became-even-more-spectacular

I personally have the 17-inch 7000 series and the display is stellar. They use a different, LG manufactured panel that covers almost 90% sRGB, so it really depends on the model you choose.
