Prior to it not turning it was running attempted a reboot and since then the following has been happening. you press the power button for a second or two the lights (caps lock etc) come on then shut off... I have tried booting without all hardware with all hardware etc but to no avail. the only thing I haven't done is pull the computer apart and reset the cpu. short of that any suggestions ?

I am having the same problem with a Latitude CPi, and have also tried the suggested removal of everything etc. but to no avail. I did read in a message (that I can no longer locate) that this may be something to do with the 'system protecting itself' by not allowing a bootup if it believes a certain type of problem to exist. I would really appreciate finding out any solution you might be given. As I am new to the forum I posted a message with my problem yesterday under 'power management', but it didn't show up. Keep me posted, I need to get this solved and as many Latitude users as have registered questions of the same nature there must be a fix out there in Dell-land. Thanks.
