Dell 7280 touchpad not working in Windows 7. Driver on website not compatible.

We started using a new model Dell 7280 from our global agreement. The touchpad doesn't work in Windows 7, only Windows 10 environment.

The Windows 7 driver from the Dell website just gives an error saying its not compatible when you run it.

I also did the KB that there is about it but installing this other driver as instructed doesn' twork.

Do you know if there is any fix for this?! We have loads of machines we need to get out!!

I also notice now on the dell driver website you can't download the Windows 7 drivers, maybe they are updating it now or not supporting W7 anymore?

Right so how do dummies do the above?

Thank you for the  touchpad driver link mentioned earlier, it does actually work in Windows 7 when I install it but even though I injected it into the PE environment, the touchpad doesn't work. I'm running a deployment now to see if touchpad works in Windows as I also injected the driver into MDT for this model.

I didn't inject the serial drivers into PE by the way.  I just checked the site and there isn't such driver as Serial IO driver and nor for Windows 7, only Windows 10 listed as supported now?

Is there any proper solution to this, I don't want to have to manually install the Serial IO driver after every deployment

Installed Serial IO Driver and still no TouchPad.

I was able to fix this issue by installing the Intel Serial IO Driver.
