Dell Download Manager
I have a dell inspiron 1420 that will not get past this point, When I run driver updates from the dell drivers I get this: xserv.dell.com "APPLICATION VALIDATION DID NOT SUCCEED UNABLE TO PROCEED" There are eight or nine updates i would like to run that will hopefully help my system. Any help please. :emotion-18: :emotion-18: :emotion-18:

Go back and clear your browser cache. Return to support.dell.com and use your browser (not the download manager) to download the files (you'll have to do them one by one).

fedupwithvista,
To use the Dell download manager you must have the Windows .net framework installed (use Windows update). Though it's not made clear by Dell, you DO NOT need the manager. Go into your browser settings and delete all Dell cookies (or clear all your browser cache). Then go back and choose "download using my browser" when you select the file for download. You will then not need the Dell download manager at all.

ejn63 & Rick this worked for the driver download issue. Thank you both. :emotion-21::emotion-21:
