Dell Inspiron 15 3537 Unknown device in device manager

I recently upgraded from window 8 to 8.1. Installed all the windows 8.1 drivers from dell website and found that fast start up is not working anymore. However  i removed fast start up option and now my laptop takes around 1 minute to boot successfully. I think the problem is with Intel Management Engine Interface Driver. Whenever I install that driver, windows start in "selective start up" as shown in msconfig. If i remove it, windows start in normal start up. Now I have completely removed that driver.

Driver location : http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-15-3537?driverId=TXG47&osCode=WB64A&fileId=3321813747&languageCode=EN&categoryId=CS

If i boot into windows with this driver and fast startup, I get a blue screen also.

Can some one help with this issue please.

I had the same issue twice.  The first time was after the 8 to 8.1 upgrade and after I Googled the error code (right click on Unknown Device, Select Properties, look for error code, copy and paste to Google), I got a link to the Intel site and the instal fixed the issue.  The second time was after I did a clean install using an OEM 8.1 DVD and it turned out to be the Media Card Reader, which I was able to fix directly from the Dell Drivers site.

In both cases, Windows, Dell and Driver Reviver were not able to detect what the device was to update the driver.

Hope this helps.
