DELL INSPIRON 1564 , Screen goes white blank

my Dell INSPIRON 1564 is only two month old. It has a problem that screen goes blank white while booting. This problem also occured 2-3 times when I was working on it. I re-loaded the video card drive supplied by Dell but problem remains unresolved. Dell support centre is not responding to the problem.

Will be thankful if some one suggest me the remedy/ solution for this problem.

I had my screened replaced by a local guy a few months ago. It worked but only for a few months. I hope you have better luck.

I have tried everything. My IT friend replace the screen and was able to use my old screen in another computer with no problems. The new screen worked for a few months but it just got progressively worse until I was ready to give up and get a replacement. I thought I'd try one last stab at finding a solution on line when I found your post. I can't believe it! It worked! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!:emotion-1:

The quality of Dell laptops have degraded tremendously!

Bought new Z14 ultra...  on the first month had to change:

 - CD ROM.. after one year stopped working

- screen (changed it again after a year)

- two keyboard changed over two years...

- so many things in between...

summary, LAST TIME TO BUY A DELL LAPTOP.

The sad thing is, I can't find a single helpful comment that resolves any issues here!!!!

I had so much respect for this company years ago... now it's just lower quality and higher prices.

Extremely disappointed, but who cares...DELL!
Unhappy folks should take all their issues to DELL social media accounts... FB ..twitter...etc

Hi all,

I have the white screen problem on my Inspiron 1564 for a few months now. And yes, closing the lid for a few seconds helps, but frequently the white screen is coming back. I added an extra USB fan pointing at the fan opening of the laptop, but still the white screen came back

I went through a process of trying different settings in the BIOS. When I changed Turbo Mode in the BIOS to OFF, the problem minimised.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Ton M.
