Dell Latitude D610 power button doesn't work

Question

Often I need to really push hard (really hard) to power up my laptop. Sometimes it powers up and sometimes it doesn't. After powering up the laptop works just fine.   Any suggestions or comments regarding diagnosing this issue is highly appreciated.   Thanks -pcb

Since it's a Latitude, it should have a 3-year warranty standard - call Dell and have it repaired under warranty. It could be the power strip, or it could be the mainboard.
