Dell Latitude E5440
Good Afternoon,
I'm currently using MDT to deploy windows 7 x64 to various models/brands of laptop (Dell, Lenovo, HP etc...) However im currently having an issue with the Dell Latitude E5440's.
When i deploy the OS it applies the drivers fine and then boots to OOBE after this the TS logs into windows to install some 3rd party applications, but at this point i get a prompt to say theres no network. After looking in device manager i noticed theres NO drivers applied (other than standard vga etc...)
The SMSTS log reports back that the driver injection succeeded , so i manually installed the drivers to make sure they are the right ones,which they are.
The KMDF 1.11 update is also
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

If you post the log I could take a look.
I have had issues in the past where the inf file for the driver did not contain the device ID of the hardware or it has been remmed out even though the driver was correct.

Good morning,
Unfortunately i cant provide the Log at the moment (Im guessing you mean the SMSTS?).
However this morning i mounted the image with DISM and injected the drivers in, after deploying that image the driver are installed. This however inst an acceptable fix atm.
Ive looked through the links you have provided and unfortunately they havent helped.
I shall try and get hold of the log this afternoon :)

I am having this same issue. Windows 7 x64 SP1, Dell Latitude E5440. The only error in the logs is:
(__hrMethodRetVal == ((HRESULT)0L)) || (bFailIfMissing == false), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sms_fre\SMS\common\inc\ccmxml.h,566) TSManager 12/4/2014 9:47:08 AM 3468 (0x0D8C)
Hopefully one of us can get it figured out.

Good morning,
Unfortunatley I was unable to resolve this, however I did find that if you mounted the image with DISM and injected the drivers in that would work around this issue.
Its not a prefect solution by a long shot so if you figure it out I would appreciate the answer.
