Dell XPS Backlit Keyboard

Question

I can't seem to find the settings for the backlit keyboard on my new Dell XPS laptop. I tried doing a windows search and I tried pressing Windows+X and there is no option for the setting. Can anyone help me find it? Thanks in advance!

Hi ballininthamix,

Please share the exact system model and operating system installed. It appears that your system is shipped with Windows 8. If yes, after pressing the 'Windows + X' keys combination choose 'Windows Mobility Center' where the keyboard backlit settings should be available. If not make sure that 'Quickset Application' is updated. Here are the steps:

Click on the link: http://dell.to/15qqGcr.
Enter the Service Tag of your system and select the operating system.
You will find the Quickset under 'Applications'.
Download and install the Quickset Application following the onscreen instructions.
