Error 144 updating bios

First im dominican and my english is not so good, so if you dont understand something, say to me.

I have a Vostro 1000 but it started to have problems detecting the charger at startup, i read in the support page that this error get fixed with a bios update. My bios is in 2.4.1 so i tried to update to 2.6, when run WinVos263.exe the backup my bios well but when it start to flash the bios i get this error:

 Error code : -144(0xFFFFFF70)
        Description:
            BIOS is not flashable.
            Error code: -144

Somebody can help me with this.
