Failure on a brand new Dell Inspiron 15 2in1 7000 series

On the second day of usage, my laptop does not turn on the LCD. Its a Inspiron 15 7579 2-in-1

The keyboard lights up. I see a red led blinking permanently on top of screen, but , the screen keeps black, no image at all

The frontal led on base of keyboard blinks 7 times white plus 2 times amber

I read it means LCD failure.... Is there anything i can do to try solve it ?

Very frustrating for a second day of a new and expensive computer

Help me, Dell

jpenedo,

From the error you are describing would mean an LCD Failure. You can contact Dell for more troubleshooting and to have it replaced if it is defective and you are within your warranty. The number to call is 1-800-624-9897 if you are in the US. If you are within another Country you will need to contact support in your area.

Thank you jesse.  I connected an external monitor and it works.

BIOS diag shows warning about not being able to locate LCD cable (error 2000-01415).

As it seems it is a problem with cable or lcd kit

I am in Brazil and warranty is valid.

Already contacted local support, and opened a support to have the computer on technical assistance.

Thanks for your help
