How do I remove pen ink from silver casing?

Hello,

I have an Inspiron 6000. There is a small blue pen ink mark on the silver material of the laptop casing. I tried to remove it with spit, soap+water, but it's not coming off.

I am not sure about using any alcohol based cleaner only because I don't know what material the silver casing on this laptop is made of?

Anyone know how I can get this ink stain off (even with some persistance and rubbing and some scracthing with my nail, it is not coming off)?

Any help greatly appreciated.

P.S. I cannot try a "test area" with any cleaner because the silver casing is completely visible. There is no indiscriminate area to test a product first.

Try Fantastic on a cotton rag--don't spray computer, of course. Even a slightly damp rag with some baking soda on it would probably work. It's a mild abrasive.

Sometimes, if you take the same color pen and mark over the mark already there and wipe quickly it will remove it. You can try a Dry Erase Marker as well. This works on Dry Erase boards when someone uses a magic marker on it instead of a dry erase marker.
