Imaging from one, then re-install into another?
Bought a Dell Inspiron B130 back in 2006, and not long ago I re-installed the OS using the disk from Dell (it's a XP home, service pack 2). I thought by doing so would make my laptop new again, function wise. It took me a long time to realize the disk only contains the bare-bone stuffs, for I seldom use some of the feature, such as DVD player, PDF reader...etc.
Now I wonder if I can find another same laptop, and do an imaging back up, then re-install it on my machine. Any comments will be appreciated. <ADMIN NOTE:Email id removed per privacy policy>

That would work if both had identical hardware.

That sounds good... Now, how do I know for sure if both laptops have the same hardware? I am not tech savvy, so I have to be very careful.
