Hi Suresh,

Welcome to the Community.

I would suggest you to update the BIOS and try the new memory module. Please click the link mentioned below which will take you to the drivers website:

http://dell.to/QjjZDA

Enter the Service Tag of the computer and choose the Operating System installed on the computer. Please update the latest version of BIOS available.

Also, try to turn on the computer with the new memory module only to isolate the issue. Please try both the slots to ensure that the slot has not gone bad.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Suresh,

Sorry for the delayed response.

I would suggest you connect the memory to both the slots to ensure it is not an issue with the slot.

Meanwhile, I am researching on this issue.

Thanks & Regards

Similar type of problem happening in my notebook (Inspiron 14R  N4010) also, except I brought  the Transcend brand RAM with similar configuration. DDR3, 1333MHz, 1.5v, 204pin, SODIMM (Model No. JM1333KSH-4G)

It is not working in my notebook but working fine with other notebook.

I can't figure out why the RAM is not working even I updated all the current drivers and bios.

Thanks & Regards,

Pankaj
