Internal mic on D610?

Question

Hi is there an internal mic on the latitude d610?　I've maxxed ou the recording volume, but I can't record any audio using window's sound recorder. needless to say skype doesn't work either...

Another note - the user guide on the dell website doesn't work! downloaded the help file, but all entries give the page not found error.

As far as I know, there is no internal mic. I downloaded the html help file and it works fine.

There is no internal mike.  The 600 had a mike but it was removed in the upgrade to the 610.  Since I use Skype I therefore am looking for another laptop to avoid the inconvenience of carrying around another peripheral.

Just upgraded from C600 to D610 and was surprised to learn about the non-existence of an internal mic. Can anyone recommend a handy and affordable solution?
