INVALID PARTITION table error mesage- HELP
Hello,
I randomly got an "invalid partition table" message at startup on a black screen and now my computer does not boot.
I have a DELL XPS M1330.
I have no idea why this happened and my windows won't load. I need to somehow get into my hard drive to get all my info to backup.
Any help would be appreciated. I put in the Dell recovery/XP cd and it won't boot.
Thanks!

BEFORE you do anything else, see if you can read the drive using another system - install it into a 2.5" SATA USB 2 .0 drive enclosure and attach to a working system.
If you can read the drive, back up what you can't afford to lose. If you can't, and you need the data, you'll need to consider whether data recovery is worth the cost (figure on well over $1,500-2,000.
The drive is likely faulty - to confirm, press F12 at powerup, load the Dell Diagnostics, and run the extended test on the hard drive.
