Is the PC Restore by Symantec standard on the Inspiron E 1705

I'll be ordering the E 1750 today. I'm ordering it with the Window XP reinstallation cd. My question: Being is that I'm ordering the reinstillation cd will the Symantec PC Restore also be included in my E 1705 purchase? I spoke with Dell chat support and they weren't too sure themselves.

 Thank you for any help

From all I've read and heard, the Symantec PC Restore is on every new Dell, regardless of whether you order a WinXP CD or not... except maybe the XPS systems.

I'm pretty much convinced now that the PC restore is preinstalled when you purchase the reinstall cd for the E 1705. It does come with the XPS PC's, I got both of them with my new XPS 400.

                        Thanks again

PC Restore is on all dell computers. Its not an option. It is part of their media reduction initiative. As well many new dell systems come with norton ghost as an extra.

Dell provides misdirection at the on-line order site by removing the mark next to the PC Restore feature when you select the re-installation CD option.

I think it's just inaccuracy on Dell's web sites, because there are plenty of problems like that.

Can you put Inspiron B120 in the "Current Product" field at the top of this screen, or is it just me?

I couldn't agree with you more regarding the On Line order about removing the mark next to the PC Restore feature, that was exactly the reason why I was inquiring about the Reinstall CD.
