Keep getting "Warning:Unresponsive script error" messages on my Inspiron 6400.

Hello, I keep getting "Warning:Unresponsive script error" messages on my Inspiron 6400.

This occurs even when I'm not touching/using my laptop at all.

What's wrong and how can I fix this? Please help.

Thanks

Hi Appu,

I tried both but there was no problem/error detected.

Could it be something else?

Hi Hando68,

It might be an issue with the software or the hardware of the computer. I would suggest you to run the diagnostics to check the hardware functionality.

To run ‘Dell Diagnostics’

  • Power off the computer
  • Restart the computer, press F12 on the Dell logo
  • Select ‘Diagnostics’ from the boot menu
  • Please refer to the link if any error code shows up http://dell.to/OUGnqT

Alternatively, check in Safe mode with Networking:

  • Power off the computer
  • Restart the computer, tap 'F8' key 4-5 times on the
  • This will take you to ‘Windows Advanced Boot Options’
  • Choose ‘Safe Mode with Networking’ in the Advanced Boot menu (use ‘up’ or ‘down’ arrow keys to highlight the option, press ‘enter’ to select)
  • When Windows finishes loading in Safe mode with Networking, check if the issue persists

Hope this helps.

Hi Hando68,

Thank you for the response. Did you check your system in Safe Mode?
When do you get the error message?
Is there any particular application in use when you get the error message?

If you are using Mozilla Firefox browser, I would suggest you to uninstall and re-install the browser. You may try the steps mentioned in this article http://bit.ly/UvOWaQ

Hope this helps.
