Hi Preyesjr,

Try to open ‘Internet Explorer’ from the start screen and check if the number pad works. Alternatively, try the steps mentioned below:

Reset the Internet Explorer settings:

  • Close any ‘Internet Explorer’ or ‘Windows Explorer’ windows that are currently open
  • Open ‘Internet Explorer’ from the desktop view
  • Click the ‘Tools’ button
  • Click ‘Internet Options’
  • Click the ‘Advanced’ tab, and then click ‘Reset’
  • Select the ‘Delete personal settings’ check box if you would like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate Filtering data
  • In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click ‘Reset’
  • When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, click ‘Close’
  • Click ‘OK’
  • Reopen ‘Internet Explorer’ and check if the number pad is working

If the above steps do not work, try to register the DLL files:

  • Right click on the right hand bottom corner of the screen, choose ‘Command prompt (Admin)'
  • In the ‘cmd’ window type " regsvr32 mshtmled.dll " (without quotation marks), press ‘Enter’. A message should show that the file was successfully registered.
  • Now, type “ regsvr32 jscript.dll “(without quotation marks), press ‘Enter’. A message should show that the file was successfully registered.
  • Close the command prompt window and restart the computer. Once restarted, the computer might run some updates. Try using the number pad.

Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any questions.
