Laptop problem Latitude E5540

Love this laptop but having too many problems for it not to be something more serious.

Sometimes when it turns on the keyboard isn't responding. Sometimes when you hit Fn F3 it wil work sometimes not.

But what is worse is very regularly it goes into Boot Diagnostics and then the keyboard won't work so cannot esc out of the testing mode and it takes forever to work through it all. It passes every time..

I have sent in a warranty request and got folowing;

Is there anything i could be missing as I would hate to have to send laptop back.

All drivers are up to date and all updates are loaded. I am very comfortable around pc's but this has me stumped...

Sorry I should be more clear, it goes into Boot Diagnostics on start-up or coming out of hibernation. Often but not always...
