motherboard inspiron 4000
have an inspiron 4000 that got wet and no longer works. I have tested the hard drive and it's fine so I think it the mother board. There are 4 different motherboards for this machine, where on the motherboard is this information? I have looked by the memory slots but do not see anything there. Any help would be appericated.

Hi,
Your MBD is shared with the Latitude C600. There wold be at least 10 part numbers. Apart from video, the main difference is the CPU speed they will support. That is the main thing to look for. If you know the speed, you can select one. Have another look near the memory. It should have a lable, CN OXXXXX YYYYY YYY YYYY rev A0Y . X will be the part number.
