Mouse pointer disappears!
When I glide my pointer over a link on any website, There is a certain area near the link that my pointer will disappear. It is then visible when I move the mouse a little more????????

Thanks!
PS I have a workaround though, reducing the hardware accelaration 1 step works fine. But anyway, Twin-View (nView) utility of GeForce4 is no longer an option in the properties.

I am back to the disappearing pointer! I download the latest video driver, but it set the driver back instead of updating it. This is kind of weird since it showed a later date in the dell download section. How to I go back.
Also if I disable the driver or program in the startup (msconfig), what features am I going to lose?
How do I check which video Bios i am running in case it set it back to an earlier one also?
Thanks.

I am working under XP but most of the settings apply to 2000 as well.
First I uninstalled the current driver from Start->Settings->Add Remove->NVidia....
After reboot I installed the latest driver from Dell.
If it's not updating properly the version of the driver then right click on Desktop and choose Properties then Settings->Advanced->Adapter->Properties->Driver. And choose what you want: either Uninstall the current driver and intall it properly again or Rollback to the previous version. You can also see all details about the current driver there.
The bios version should be displayed on the Adapter tab in the chain operations mentioned above.

i think its really bad that dell doesnt help us out with this problem, i mean if they release a firmware they should really test it first
so it really works, this is not acceptable, remove the download from drivers section, its no point update to it as it cause this dissapearing
line in the middle of the screen, i fix the problem to downgrade the firmware to a older version, so for me its obviously what caused it...!!
So does dell care or not ??? pls give the guys in here a good solution then., else i buy something else in the future !

you know what, the invisible white band has not dispearred from me completely. i cannot believe i actaully lived with it all this time.
When i first encountered the problem, i had a cure where i would close the laptop lid so the screen turns off and when i open it again the band would be gone.
but i have just realised that the sitution has reversed where when i load the system first go it be fine, however when i close the lid and i open it bak up the invisible band would reappear.
i guess i will just have to live with it hopefully until a new revisions for bios and video are made.
gl to the rest of you's trying to solve this problem
