Need webcam driver and application for Dell Inspiron 15R n5010 model.

Using the arrow keys, go down to diagnostics



I had to run the diagnostics(takes about 5-10 minutes) until I got this message, then selected no.

I then got...



I pressed enter, then got...



Click on Test System...



Select symptom tree. You will then see...

Problems with USB Device or USB Device Not Detected



Click on that, then run tests.



In my case, the webcam passed.

I do not get the screen for the diagnostic partition. As I said above, it had been reformatted but webcam had worked

I booted under a clean user profile.The Dell Wecam Central comes up but it has "no supported webcam detected and 1.40.05   Also not under Device Manager

Is your computer under warranty?

The no supported device mesage could be if you install/reinstalled the operating system and did not install the drivers in the correct order. You said the webcam was listed in the symptom tree. If yes, if creating the new unrestriced user account did not work, then Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings should work.

If the webcam is not listed in the symtom tree, the webcam became detached from the motherboard, usually near the webcam.

Hi,

Click Start and click “All Programs”. Scroll the list to locate and click the Dell Webcam Central application.

If the Dell Webcam Central is not listed, check if the Dell Webcam Central application is installed. If listed there, uninstall it.  If it is not listed, then directly go to Download section and follow the steps.

• Click Start.
• Type “appwiz.cpl” in the search box and hit the Enter key.
• Locate the Dell Webcam central in the Programs and Features list and click on it.
• Click Uninstall that appears at the top.

Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Download the Dell Webcam Central from the link below.

• Click the above mentioned link.
• Save it to the desktop.
• Double click the downloaded file, click “Run”.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Thanks a lot 4 ur link, I have missed this driver a year ago and now again I am enjoying my Dell Webcam Central.

A Problem with the Rapid Storage Driver as when I am going to install it, it gives an error message "the computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software" and dell has suggested me this driver for my service tag,  Any help for this topic is appreciated.

i have no any  webcam disk with webcam disk my computer but i download dell web cam software it shows error  message now what i will do please reply as fast as possible ....please.........please...........

Pardon, do you refer a windows 7 64 bits installation, or, a windows 7 32 bit installation? Because I have the first and don't work the integrated webcam, the icon of the camera dont' is it in any place, but in adminstrator devices just it is installed. If I try to install the aplication you found, give the message: " there isn't any Dell Webcam Central installed" Can you help us? Thanks.

In Windows 7 the drivers are embebed, only download the file: Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam SW RC1.1_ R230103, then execute it  as "administrator" always. Comunicate us if for you that was usefull.
