New M6400 - Small "Freezes/hickups"

Heya,

Received my brand new M6400 today, but got a miner issue I hoped someone might have some pointers on.

The system frequently gets hickups / freezes. If I move the mouse it freezes for an instant and then continues.

These hickups occurs no matter what software Im in. Games, desktop, playing music, watching movies or what ever. It's quite annoying and I can't really use the system like this.

The system failed to install itself on powerup, so I had to reinstall from the acompanying cd's.

The system is a dual core 3 Ghz extreme, 4gig ram, Nvidia FX 3700 M running vista 64 bit.

Any ideas on how to get rid of these hickups is greatly appreciated.

In addition to the periodic freezes, I am also seeing complete reboots - it freezes for a couple of seconds and then the next thing I see is the BIOS version screen as it is booting, (no bluescreen, no event log, no system dump).

I had the motherboard replaced. I also do not use the WiFi in the office. I think the remote wifi was part of the problem loosing the sigal. I have not had many freezing up. since then.

Problem Found.  I dug out an old PCMCIA network card, installed it, and disabled the built in 5300 AGN.  Where I was seeing freezes/crashes at least once per hour before, there have been ZERO problems for 2 days solid.

I have the same problem. My wireless card seems to freeze up the mouse. My wireless card just shuts off randomly. Radio is off. it won't  connect until I reboot. The reboot starts its own list of problems. I am usine 32 bit vista.
