Persistent horizontal & vertical lines on display. Bad LCD panel?

I have an Inspiron E1505 w/ 15.4" WXGA LCD (photo of part/serial numbers attached).  LCD shows horizontal and vertical lines always, from the moment that the display comes on.  Graphics card seems to be the standard default one for these machines, listed as "P/N WF148 Card, Graphics 256MB, M54 I6400".

Did these tests/actions so far:

* Lines only show on LCD, not on screen captures and not on external monitor.

* Upgraded BIOS to latest version.  No change in lines.

* Disassembled hardware down to and including removing flat video cable from back of LCD panel.  Brushed & vacuumed all connectors and reassembled.  No change in lines.

* Ran PSA diagnostics.  No errors found.

Seems like the only thing left is to replace the LCD panel.  But wanted to check with the Experts here before I did so.  Anything I overlooked?  Any other insights?

Thanks!

Your diagnosis is sound - the LCD panel needs to be replaced.

Thanks, ejn63.  I'll do that.
