Problem with virtualization on Dell Studio 1737 with Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8700
I am trying to enable virtualization on my Dell Studio 1737 so that I can run a fast Android emulator.
- my laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8700.
- I have enabled virtualizaton in the BIOS.
- I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
When I use the Intel Processor Identification Utility I see Intel(R) Virtualization Technology : Yes (see screenshot one below).
When I run the Microsoft Hardware-assisted virtualization tool I see "Hardware-assisted virtualization is not enabled on this computer (see screenshot two below).
Sure enough, when I try to run the Android Virtual Device it can not use virtualization and falls back on very slow emulation.
What am I doing wrong here?

Thank you for your prompt response.
I have A08 and there is a new release A09 (release notes seemed to indicate this was solely a fix for Lojack) so I was saving that update hassle for later.
Anyhow, another half hour of Googling turned up a solution by suggesting that a full reboot was required (rather than ctrl-alt-del or a Windows restart).
So I :-
1) powered down my laptop completely
2) removed the power cable
3) removed the battery
4) held down the power button for a couple of seconds
5) replaced the battery
6) rebooted into Windows
and. lo and behold, Windows HAV Detection Tool is happy (see new screenshot below)
I don't know if all those steps were required or if a "simple" restarted would have done the trick but that is exactly what I did.

PS
unfortunately Android Virtual Device Manager is still reporting "HAX is not working..." so I have just moved the problem up the chain at the moment - don't suppose you are an Android emulator expert are you?!? ;-)
