Problems with lag in Minecraft and Red Faction Armageddon
I was wondering if anyone could help a little. I just got a brand new Alienware m14x. I will later tell you the specs. I tried running Minecraft on it and it was extremely laggy and had screen tearing when I was looking at the sky and moving around. I tried to run it as an administrator and in windows compatibility mode. I can run portal 2 and brink on full settings normaly on the laptop. I was wondering if you could help me on this problem. I am also not able to play Red Faction Armageddon. I also do not know what is wrong with that. I tried updating my drivers and my directx. but neither will update, saying that they are the newest versions.

Did you download and install the June 2010 directx 9.0c drivers?
Download details: DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)
You will know if it worked because when you re do the Windows performance tab it will say optimizing for Directx 9 aero.

You have to right click minecraft and select "run with graphics processor" it says that of some description then click *high performance Nvidia*
